The Fishing Tree FT-48-27B is our most aggressive habitat design, creating an ultra-high-density underwater structure that provides exceptional cover for juvenile fish and prime ambush points for predator species. With 27 branches, each 48 inches long, the FT-48-27B delivers significantly more habitat complexity than our 18-branch model, making it ideal for anglers and pond managers seeking maximum fish-holding potential.

With an assembled diameter of 48 inches, the FT-48-27B closely resembles a mature submerged tree while offering the durability and consistency of an engineered habitat system. The trunk provides approximately 2,300 square inches of surface area for periphyton growth—a diverse community of algae and microorganisms that serves as a natural food source, contributes to oxygen production, and helps improve local water quality.

The 27 V-shaped branches are designed to capture sediment, organic matter, and biomass, creating additional forage opportunities and supporting a healthy aquatic ecosystem. The additional nine branches provide approximately 1,300 square inches of extra surface area, further increasing periphyton growth and habitat value.

Every Fishing Tree includes an integrated cement block adapter, reducing installation costs and simplifying deployment. Simply attach your own concrete block, and the buoyant tree will remain upright on the bottom, mimicking the appearance and function of a natural sunken tree.

The FT-48-27B is fully modular and compatible with the FT-COLLAR connection system. Add a 32-inch or 48-inch Fishing Tree to create taller habitat structures, or connect multiple 48-inch trees end-to-end to build custom configurations 8, 12, 16 feet—or even longer—with varying branch densities. Self-locking branches pass through both the collar and trunk, creating a strong, self-aligning connection.

Whether suspended from a dock, positioned in a boat slip, or deployed on the lake bottom, the FT-48-27B can provide effective fish habitat at virtually any depth without seasonal adjustments. Fishing Trees assemble in minutes and can be deployed from a dock or easily tossed from a boat, where they sink into position and remain upright.
